Carrickfergus crash: Young girl killed as second child taken to hospital

The BBC understands that a young girl has been killed in a crash in Carrickfergus, County Antrim.

A second child was taken by ambulance to The Royal Victoria Hospital for Sick Children.

The air ambulance attended the incident earlier and High Street remains closed.

A police spokesperson advised people to seek alternative routes for their journeys to avoid the area.
