Two people have been arrested after a man was stabbed in the face, body and arms in Ballymurphy in west Belfast in the early hours of Wednesday.
Police were contacted at about 02:45 BST by paramedics treating a man for stab wounds in St Bernadette’s Avenue.
The man in his 20s suffered serious injuries, which are not thought to be life-threatening.
A man aged 38 and a 35-year-old woman were arrested at the scene on suspicion of attempted murder.
They remain in police custody.
