PETTIS COUNTY, Mo – A Marshall woman was arrested following a drug raid on her residence on Alexander Road in northern Pettis County.
According to a probable cause statement, detectives with the Mid-Missouri Drug Task Force and deputies with the Pettis County Sheriff’s Office executed a search warrant on the residence of 56-year-old Melody Sloma just after 2 on Thursday afternoon.
During the search they located numerous baggies filled with methamphetamine along with syringes and spoons containing the drug. The total weight of the meth was 208 grams. There were also numerous firearms located near the meth, including a Remington rifle that was reported stolen in Clinton.
Sloma wasn’t in the residence at the time of the raid but was found at a neighbor’s home a short time later. She was arrested and is facing charges of second-degree drug trafficking and possession of a controlled substance, along with three counts of unlawful use of a weapon. Bond has been set at $100,000 cash or surety.
