FBI’s dawn drama: Guns, drugs, and a teeth-shattering arrest in Maryland (WBFF)
Baltimore (WBFF) — A series of early-morning FBI raids across Maryland leads to more than a dozen arrests for guns and drug trafficking. The raids began at about 6 a.m. Wednesday–spanning from Annapolis to Baltimore.
A Baltimore police spokesperson says only one location was targeted in the city. But BPD nor the FBI is identifying where the raids happened.
But Fox45 has learned about one of the locations in Anne Arundel County.
Annapolis police sent an alert to city council members before the raids, advising them in the event concerned constituents contacted them about any unnerving flash bang noises, etc., they might hear during the operation.

Alderman Ross Arnett, of Ward 8, was among those council members notified.
“Several felons were arrested, confiscated many guns and a lot of drugs. And it was deemed a successful raid,” said Arnett.
The Harbour House public housing community on President Street was one of the locations hit in Annapolis.
Donna Johnson, the community’s association president, says she did not witness the raid, but did hear from neighbors. She’s calling it an alarming incident.
“Of course it’s frightening if you hear guns that’s going off over here or they’re getting people that’s here in our community with the guns. You know, we don’t see it, so to hear about it, saying that’s what was recovered, is kind of scary,” said Johnson.
According to a spokesperson with the FBI Baltimore Field Office, the early morning operation was part of a larger police action across the state and included parts of Anne Arundel County and Baltimore city.
The FBI says they executed 18 court authorized searches with 14 suspects arrested.
Alderman Arnett describes what he was told about one of those arrest.
“One of the suspects was trying to flee the raid through a window with guns in both hands. And the authorities were waiting for him outside, they threw a flash bang at him, apparently it disabled him, so they were able to apprehend him. But apparently it damaged some (of the suspect’s) teeth,” said Arnett.

Meanwhile, back at Harbour House Johnson with more on the raid and the people who live there.
“I understand that you’re coming here because it is a bad thing that’s going on, we don’t want it in our community. But I can’t understand, I don’t see y’all when the good things are coming off. As far as what I’ve been doing for this community for four years. You know, I started a food pantry in my own apartment, and I got a clothes pantry here,” said Johnson.
Regarding more on the raid, according to that message sent to Annapolis council members, the operation was loud and expansive. It included huge convoys of about 20 swat teams.
