MURRAY, Ky. — According to the Calloway County Sheriff’s Office, an extensive investigation was launched after numerous complaints were received regarding an employee selling methamphetamine through the drive-thru and in the parking lot of a business located on North 12th St. in Murray.
CCSO states that on November 26, narcotics detectives conducted covert surveillance of that location, where they observed multiple hand-to-hand drug transactions involving the employee, 52-year-old Mary K. Harness of Murray, who was working at the time.
Detectives subsequently seized approximately 19.92 grams of crystal methamphetamine along with digital weight scales, numerous small plastic bags, and several other items consistent with drug trafficking operations.
Harness was arrested and taken into custody, and is currently being held at the Calloway County Detention Center. According to CCSO, Harness was previously convicted of trafficking methamphetamine in 2021 in Calloway County.
Harness’s charges are as follows:
- First degree trafficking in a controlled substance — greater than or equal to 2 grams — second offense, class B felony
- Drug paraphernalia — buy/possess
