As tensions continue in Canada after the recent pro-Khalistani mob attack on Hindu devotees and the subsequent protests in Canada, a new video has emerged showing a Khalistani supporter urging Canadians to “go back to Europe”. In the video, a man can be heard shouting, “We are the owners of Canada,” and calling white people “invaders”.
The video, which is being widely shared online, shows a public rally with individuals holding Khalistani flags. One person, presumably the videographer, can be heard shouting these remarks. Reports suggest that it was from a ‘Nagar Kirtan’, in connection with the Gurunanak Jayanti.
“This is our country, we are the owners of Canada, we are proud Canadians. Khalistan, this is our country. You are from Europe. Go back to Europe, go back to England. You are not Canadians, you are invaders, we are native Indians,” the man shouted.
Towards the end of the 2-minute video, the man also shouts, “Go back, Simon, go back,” a slogan that was originally used during India’s anti-British struggle against the Simon Commission.
India Today could not independently verify the authenticity of the video.
This incident occurred days after a group of Khalistani extremists attacked a group of Hindu devotees at a temple in Brampton in Canada. This act of violence drew widespread international condemnation, with India demanding strict action from Canadian authorities. Numerous protests were held in Canada to denounce the attack.
New Delhi has repeatedly accused Ottawa of harbouring Khalistani terrorists who threaten India’s sovereignty by advocating for a separate Sikh state, Khalistan, to be carved out of Punjab.
Canada, meanwhile, accused India of targeting Khalistani supporters on Canadian soil, even implicating Indian diplomats in the murder of a Khalistani extremist in Canada. These mutual accusations have severely strained bilateral relations between the two nations, with India vehemently rejecting the allegations.
