LONDON — A routine traffic stop resulted in the arrest of a Corbin man accused of trafficking methamphetamine.
Stacey Farley, 57, was arrested in the early morning hours of last Friday on one count of first-degree trafficking in a controlled substance (first offense, two or more grams of meth) as well as several traffic-related offenses.
According to London Police Chief Jerry Hollon, Officer Jordan Childers observed a vehicle driven by Farley exhibiting numerous traffic violations. During a stop on Brown Lane and subsequent investigation, Farley was found in possession of a large amount of suspected meth.
Ofc. Childers was assisted on scene by Ofc. Kendric Smith.
Farley was lodged in the Laurel County Correctional Center in lieu of a $10,000 bond. Having pled not guilty at arraignment, he was scheduled to appear in Laurel District Court for a preliminary hearing Tuesday morning.
