The family of James Kirby, who was killed in an Israeli air strike in Gaza earlier this week, have described him as “selfless” and a “hero”.
Cousins Amy Roxburgh-Barry and Adam McGuire told the BBC that he was aware of the danger of providing aid in Gaza, but wouldn’t have been able to stop him.
Mr Kirby was working as part of World Central Kitchen’s security team when the convoy he was in was hit by Israeli fire, killing seven people.
