A man has been charged with murder after a 50-year-old who was shot in the face in a flat last week died.
Merseyside Police said the man died in hospital on Sunday afternoon after being shot in Old Swan, Liverpool on 29 January.
Shay Walker, 25, has been charged with murder and possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
Mr Walker, of Stoneycroft, will appear later at Wirral Magistrates’ Court in Birkenhead.
Merseyside Police said the victim was taken to hospital via air ambulance after being shot in a flat on Haslingden Close.
The force said his “next-of-kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers”.
