MEP vote paves way for conciliation talks with Council of EU

The European Parliament has agreed to seek 2025 budget increases for the EU’s Horizon Europe research and innovation programme and its Erasmus+ academic mobility programme.

In a plenary session on 23 October, the Parliament as a whole backed its budget committee’s push for Horizon Europe to get €242 million more than the European Commission proposed, and Erasmus+ to get €70m more.
