PENSACOLA, Fla. (WKRG) — A Pensacola man was sentenced to 22 years in prison on drug and gun charges, according to the U.S. Department of Justice.
A USDOJ news release said 42-year-old Willie Frank Gordon was sentenced after being found guilty of possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine and cocaine, possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, possession of a firearm by a convicted felon and federal supervised release violations.
The USDOJ release said Gordon was arrested on March 15, 2022, during a traffic stop.
During that traffic stop, officers searched his car and found a black backpack containing 200 grams of meth, cocaine, fentanyl and associated drug paraphernalia.
They also found a gun holster in the glove box, three cell phones and over $2,000 on Gordon, according to the USDOJ.
Officials said Gordon initially denied knowing that there were drugs and a gun in the car but eventually admitted to possessing the items in an interview.

“Law enforcement also located surveillance footage of Gordon approximately 30 minutes prior to the traffic stop where he was observed carrying the black backpack to a vehicle before driving away,” the release said.

He was on federal supervised release at the time of his arrest.
Gordon’s arrest will be followed by five years of supervised release.
