Three people arrested on suspicion of murder after a teenage boy was fatally stabbed in a town centre have been released under investigation.
Emergency services were called to Coventry Street, Stourbridge, shortly before 19:00 BST on Saturday where there had been a confrontation before a 16-year-old boy was stabbed.
He was able to escape and was driven to Orchard Close in Rowley Regis, where he was pronounced dead.
Police said the car had been recovered.
The two teenagers and a man in his 20s had been arrested close to the address, said West Midlands Police.
Det Insp Laura Harrison said the boy’s family was “understandably distraught”.
“Although we are in the early stages of our investigation, we have made significant progress,” she added.
She urged anyone with information to come forward.
