PADUCAH, Ky. (KBSI) – A Paducah man is facing drug trafficking charges after officers conducted a traffic stop.
According to the Paducah Police Department Officer on November 22, 2024, around 2:23 pm Paducah Police Officer Noah Willett was patrolling the area of Friedman Lane and saw a vehicle driven by 29-year-old Reco T. Cunningham driving over the speed limit.
While attempting to stop the vehicle, Officer Willett saw Cunningham throw items out of the window.
After stopping the vehicle, Officer Willett’s K9 partner, Karo, alerted to the presence of illegal drugs inside the vehicle and then attempted to go to the area
where Cunningham had thrown the items.
Officer Willett located two bags in the parking lot that contained nearly a quarter pound of methamphetamine (3.3
ounces).
Reco T. Cunningham of Paducah, was arrested on charges of Trafficking in a Controlled Substance, 1st Degree (Methamphetamine), Tampering
with Physical Evidence, Possession of Drug Paraphernalia, and various Traffic Offenses.
Cunningham was taken to the McCracken County Jail.
