The department joined the DEA Special Response Team, the ATF, the U.S. Marshals Service and the Illinois State Police to conduct a court-ordered operation that resulted in 11 being charged for drug trafficking in southern Illinois, two of whom live in Brookport.
BENTON — Following an investigation into the drug trafficking network in southern Illinois, 11 individuals are facing federal charges for distributing meth in Jackson, Massac, Perry, Saline and Williamson counties.
Two of those charged are from Brookport.
