Two teenagers have been killed and a third is in a critical condition after a crash with a lorry in Stirling.
The male passengers in a Vauxhall Corsa, aged 17 and 19, died at the scene on the A91 between Bannockburn Interchange and Greencornhills Roundabout at about 15:50 on Sunday.
The 19-year-old driver was taken by air ambulance to hospital for treatment.
The 29-year-old male HGV driver was arrested in connection with a road traffic offence and later released.
A 17-year-old girl who was travelling in the front of the car was taken to the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh for treatment.
Police Scotland said the road was closed for 11 hours to allow crash investigations to take place.
Road policing sergeant Elaine Scott said: “My thoughts are with everyone involved in this incident and their families and friends at this difficult time.
“We will continue to offer support as our investigation progresses.
“It’s vital we establish exactly what happened here and I’m appealing to anyone who saw the crash, or either vehicle prior to it, to contact us.“
